I'm baaaack

I'm back! I'm sure you're all super excited. Since my Mom started a blog, I figured I'd jump back on the bandwagon. Plus we have two foster puppies that are too cute not to share! So to catch you up on the last 2 and a half years...well...basically nothing has happened. I slept a lot, met tons of great foster siblings, and enjoyed moving to a new city and house. That's about it.

Now, on to more important business, our foster pups! We have Roo and Lulu who are both 4 months old. They aren't siblings, but they sure do love each other!

Pretty little Lulu!

Sleepy Roo!

That's Roo leaning up against me! I am always up for snuggling! Lulu came from a shelter in Maryland. She was purchased on January 1 and in the shelter by January 12! The family said she bit the children. I mean puppies don't put their teeth on anything, do they?? Noooooo. Silly family. Roo came from a shelter in western Virginia. When he was brought in he had almost no hair! Turns out he has demodex...also known as mange. Yuck! I have personal experience with mange because I had it as a puppy too! Good thing it's totally treatable with medicine. Plus when Roo gets medicine, I get a treat! Well they are pretty fun to have around. Even though I'm a pretty chill dog, I do like to play with them, especially Roo! Anyway, hope you enjoy me back on the web!!

This is what we do!

So...you wonder what we do allllll day in our crates, don't you?  Mom video taped us yesterday...she'll spare you the 1.5 hour long video, but this is a good representation of our days.  Sadie is on the far left (you can see her little brown body nestled between her big Sadie pillow and her favorite pink blanket), I'm in the middle (loving my big new bed), and Itsy is on the right (she kind of blends in with the furniture since she's black, but you can see her when she moves!).

As you can see we are very busy.  It continues like this for the whole day...Molly and Sadie sleeping...Itsy barking and flailing!  Poor little Itsy, I wish she could be in my huge new crate, but mom said she can't.  I don't know why...I would be nice and share my peanut butter treat and bone, I promise!  I mean all we would do is snuggle anyway!!

Speaking of snuggling...this morning I was lying on the bed...all nice and sleepy, but I was feeling a little bit cold.  I usually sleep on the bed while mom is getting ready to go to work.  From my perfect spot at the top of the bed I can see mom and Sadie, who keeps watch at the front door.  So...this morning as I was lying there, a little cold...Itsy came over.  She licked my face and then buried herself under my arm so that we were snuggling.  It was so great and it kept me nice and warm.  I wish I had a picture of it, but mom was too slow...maybe next time!

So I overheard that Itsy has some applications!  I don't know what I'll do without my new buddy.  We'll see what happens...she went to meet a woman today at a park, but I don't think they clicked.  Maybe next time.  We'll I'm off to do some more relaxing after my busy day.  At least now you know what we do allllll day!

Something smells delicious!

Me, tasting the bread!

So...as everyone can probably tell by my photo, I always have my tongue out.  My parents say it's because it won't fit in my mouth, but it's really because it helps me taste all the smells in our house!  Right now I'm tasting chocolate chip pumpkin bread...YUM!  I helped mom clean the floor of flour, sugar, cinnammon, nutmeg, and lots of other goodies while she was baking.  Check out her recipe here:

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chocolate-Chip-Pumpkin-Bread/Detail.aspx

Yummy Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins (there was too much dough for just the bread pans!)

Anyway, I'll also update on Itsy.  She's great!  I wasn't sure since she's little and all, but she's awesome because she's my age (1 year) and likes to chase blue eggs (my favorite toy) and snuggle with ME!  Yes, you heard that right, she snuggles with me all the time.  We also had another foster for just one day before his dad could come pick him up.  His name was Robbie, check out his photo!

Robbie, a chocolate min pin!

This isn't the best picture to show off his cute face, but he was so wiggly.  He wanted to play and snuggle all at the same time.

Anyway, I haven't forgotten about your questions.  Heather, I'm going to get to your car question now and we have a special surprise for your what we do in our crates all day question.  :o)  Should be fun...if it works.  Anyway, I'm going to go make sure mom doesn't need any more help cooking.   Bye.

All Dogs go to Heaven...right?

Do they?

I ponder this question from Aunt Sarah...I know *I'm* going to heaven (Sadie too).  My mom and dad talk to me about Jesus and love him a lot.  I even help them pray before meals by putting my paws in their lap.  Knowing that all dogs aren't quite as smart as I am and can't understand everything their parents say....I turn to the Bible for the answer.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that ALL Dogs (or animals for that matter) are going to heaven, but there are several references to the idea that animals and man are equal, thus lending to the idea that dogs go to heaven just like people.

Starting in Genesis (2:19) I know that God made us animals, just like he made Adam and Eve...from the ground.  And just like he made a covenant with Adam, he made the same covenant with all the animals that came out of the ark (Genesis 9:10).  He promised to take care of us...just like the people...and he even said there would be a time when we'd all live happily together...listen to this "The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and yearling together; and a little child will lead them." (Isaiah 11:1-9).

So, sounds pretty good huh?  Still doesn't answer your question, but I'd like to think that any dog whose owner is going to heaven, will also go to heaven.  Maybe the happily ever after ending is in heaven, but I guess we won't know until we get there!  I hope I see you in Heaven, Aunt Sarah!!

I'll post more answers tomorrow...Aunt Heather asked some tough one's and I've got to think about them for a few hours!

My new sister...sort of

This is Itsy...she's my new foster sister.  We have a foster sister or brother a lot and most of the time I like it.  This time I'm sort of worried...what if Sadie likes Itsy more than me?  They're both min pins and they're both small.  I really try to act small, but I don't know if it works...anyway Mom is going to pick her up tomorrow so I'll get to meet her then.  For now...I'm still waiting to give all my great advice.  While you think of your question...enjoy these pictures of some of our other foster brothers and sisters that now have forever homes :o)

Tyson, he was pretty cool...and liked to play and nap, just like me!

Rosie, she was a really good jumper!
Jackie and Jill, they were min pin mixes and loved to nap too!

I'm sure we'll get more brothers and sisters to show off...maybe I'll find a best friend (just kidding Raleigh, I would NEVER replace you!)

Welcome!

HI!  My name is Molly and I'm here to provide expert advice on all topics.  I have a special viewpoint...from the floor.  I love my humans and they love me and I really love my sister, Sadie.  She said she doesn't want to give advice, but I'm guessing she'll want to when she sees how popular I get (she's an attention hog).  Write in and ask me anything!
